Jury duty done - one day of service suffices for the next 2 yrs! Woo hoo!

In jury duty now. New bldg is nice! Lrg wall desk w chairs, outlets & Internet connections. I can work. Yay!

Book signings yesterday went very well. Lots of fans & lots of fun!

Went to Hornets Casino nite last nite. Met owner George Shinn & wife, Denise. Great ppl. Busy day- errands, videocon, ofc wk & gala tonite.

Morn presentation was awesome. HS students had fun hearing, learning stories, doing drama activities. Shout out 2 my frenz @ Hahnville High!

Happy w new ATT Fuze phone so far. Superior performance than Treo Pro. Hitting the hay - early day tmrw. Speaking to HS students @ 7am!

Treo Pro did not work out - ran out of internal memory. Couldn't call, txt or email. Went to ATT store & bought Fuze. Very frustrating day.

It's 2:30am and I finally got my new Treo Pro phone to properly synchronize w my laptop. Whew! Now I can sleep better...

I hate synchronizing new phones with my computer! Ugh!

Ate brunch @ Elizabeth's in Bywater area of New Orleans - old house, fantastic food. Shopped in French Market. Now steak dinner @ mom's.

Gave in & bought Wii for my kids (really). Had fun creating my "Mii." Got Iron Chef America (Wii Fit was out). Gonna chop, slice & dice!

Raining so I'm catching up on emails & ofc work... 8 yr old Chef, Eliana, made great brkfst of eggs, sausage & toast. Yum!

There's no place like home! SCASL was awesome but glad to be home. Dinner w family & saw Race to Witch Mountain. Loved it!

Garner Targets the Arts Storytelling Festival was fun! Great workshop & was so impressed w student storytellers fr Wake County NC schools.

Finished Handmade Tales & Story Fest wkshp for Wake County teachers & librarians. Now telling stories @ festival.

Had great shows in Wake County, NC Schools. Shout out to Smith Elem & Creech Rd. Elem! Thx!

Finished 3rd day in Wake County Schools. East Garner Elem invited me to PTA lunch w Carolina BBQ. Yum! I'm addicted now. LOL

Finished Day 2 of 5 in Wake County, NC. Had 3 wonderful school shows today. So much fun!

Wake County NC Schools on a 2 hr. delay due to black ice. I miss my first school visit @ 930am. Ordered room service & can relax for a bit.

Up late prepping for tomorrow's school visits in Garner, NC. Schools on 2 hour snow delay. Wondering if 1st @ 9:30am show is a go or no?

Stopped snowing in Raleigh & snow melting. Cars on road now. May venture out for some food. Hotel room cabin fever!

Freak Mar snow storm in Raleigh, NC - snowed-in. Since I don't see much snow, fun to watch it fall fr 10th floor hotel rm window.
